Everyone has different ways to celebrate their relationship and express their love for one another.,Love is Cuff is the perfect example of demonstrating how custom-made jewellery expresses the individuality, complexity and beauty of any relationship. The idea of cuff, which translates into making someone your own, is the main theme in this design. When we think of love, words like rough and tough also resonate.n This three-piece set tells the story of one couple’s love for each other and their determination and dedication to make it work, for better or for worse.
This custom piece can be separated into three individual pieces, two bangles and a dog necklace that depict their owner’s characteristics. The masculine design bangle made for the man is adorned with a sculptural lioness head with an organic pattern while the feminine bangle designed for the woman is minimalistic and elegant with a highly polished and slim structure. Finally, in the middle, a round and adorable dog tag that has their pet’s name, Gary, engraved in rose gold.
When linked together, this custom piece represents the strong family bond that connects them as one, despite differences and contrasting personalities. The structure and mechanism of the couple bangle is inspired by the real prison cuff. Inside each bangle is an engraved date just like the ones in a real prison but instead of the prisoner number, the date when they first started dating is etched. The chain that links the two cuffs together also stretches to mark their ten year anniversary checkpoint.
Love is not easy and makes us vulnerable to the people we entrust our hearts to. To genuinely love something, we must set it free and hope it decides to stick around. Love is a constant test and we are prisoners to our own emotions
